History is rich in the quaint Town of Wake Forest. This northeast Raleigh suburb of approximately 30,000 was the original home to Wake Forest University, which relocated to Winston-Salem in the 1930s. The college helped build the town to make it into what it is today – a thriving economic community with a healthy mix of residential neighborhoods and established businesses. The plentiful amenities in Wake Forest give it a big-city feel but with all of the comforts of small-town living.
