History is rich in the quaint Town of Wake Forest.
This Raleigh suburb is about 10 miles northeast of downtown with approximately 30,000 residents and was the original home to Wake Forest University, which relocated to Winston-Salem in the 1930s. The college helped build the town to make it into what it is today – a thriving economic community with a healthy mix of residential neighborhoods and established businesses. The plentiful amenities in Wake Forest give it a big-city feel but with all of the comforts of small-town living.
